Rear End Collision
$2.25M verdict
This was a serious two-vehicle collision on a highway in Arkansas, where the Defendant, driving an armored truck at 65 MPH, lost control and collided with our client’s 18-wheeler truck. The force of the impact caused our client’s truck to veer off the road and tip into a ditch. The Defendant was found at fault, and the employer, Garda, admitted liability, acknowledging that the Defendant was acting within the scope of employment at the time. The collision left our client, the Plaintiff, with severe injuries, leading to significant physical and emotional trauma. Prior to the accident, our client was a healthy and active 27-year-old, enjoying a fulfilling personal and professional life. However, the crash caused extensive damage, requiring multiple surgeries, including an ACL repair and two back surgeries. These injuries have drastically altered his life, causing chronic pain, depression, and a loss of enjoyment in activities he once loved.
In light of the severity of the injuries and the long-term implications, the case had significant value. After many months of litigation work, and a two-week long trial, the jury came back in favor of our client for $2,250,000 verdict.
